SDS was engaged to complete the Cycle 8 Facade Inspection Safety Program (FISP) report, complete a leak investigation and to design and oversee exterior facade repairs The leak investigation included a combination of spray-bar water testing, infrared thermography, and investigative probes to compare original construction and various iterations of previous repairs. Following the investigation, SDS developed Construction Documents to address maintenance conditions and water infiltration. SDS also completed Construction Administration Services throughout three phases of repairs. Repairs consisted of pseudo-cavity wall waterproofing and repairs, brick replacement and repointing, lintel repairs, terra cotta coping repairs, sill replacement, fire escape refurbishment, and balcony slab replacement. SDS served as the Architect of Record and Qualified Exterior Wall Inspector (QEWI) for the project.
